Editorial policy
Purpose and scope
This policy covers deepzoe’s articles, studies and reflections on Scripture, theology, family and gospel culture. We seek to support knowledge of God and the Bible through useful, understandable and responsible writing. Christian conviction does not remove the need for accuracy, honesty or respect.
Scripture in context
A passage should be read in its literary and historical setting, considering genre, audience and its relationship to the wider Bible. We avoid using isolated verses to support a predetermined conclusion. Biblical quotations should identify book, chapter, verse and the translation used. Paraphrase, commentary and practical application must remain distinguishable from Scripture itself.
Interpretation and evangelical diversity
We write from an evangelical perspective. Where Christian traditions differ, articles should identify the position they take and describe other relevant views fairly. An editorial conclusion must not be presented as universal consensus when it is not. Disagreement with a belief never justifies attacking a person’s dignity.
Sources, authorship and verification
We prioritize Scripture, original documents and identifiable sources appropriate to the subject. Historical claims, statistics and attributed statements should be checked before publication. Rumors and unverified allegations must not be reported as established facts. An editorial byline identifies publication responsibility; it does not imply specialist review or academic credentials that have not been disclosed.
Preparing an article
The editorial process should include defining the topic, research, writing, reference checks, clarity review and consideration of misleading interpretations. All three language versions, titles, descriptions and image alternatives should be reviewed before publication. Headlines must represent the article rather than exploit fear, guilt or spiritual promises to attract clicks.
AI and illustrations
AI tools may assist with organization, language editing or illustrations, but human responsibility remains essential. References, quotations and claims produced with such assistance must be verified. AI-generated images should be labeled as illustrations and never used as evidence of an actual event. We do not attribute divine revelation, spiritual experience or pastoral authority to a tool.
Family, suffering and protection
Writing about forgiveness, marriage, submission or reconciliation must not excuse violence, coercion, abuse or remaining in danger. Articles do not provide medical, psychological or legal diagnoses. We avoid blaming suffering on insufficient faith or guaranteeing outcomes we cannot promise.
Independence and advertising
Advertising and partnerships must be identifiable and distinct from editorial material. Commercial relationships must not purchase theological conclusions, praise or the omission of relevant facts. Sponsored content and commission-generating links should be clearly disclosed when present. Reserved advertising spaces do not mean a campaign or partnership is already active.
Copyright and contributions
We respect ownership of writing, images, music and Bible translations. Quotations should be proportionate, attributed and consistent with applicable licenses. Material being available online does not authorize republication. Contributions should be assessed for originality, sources, permission to use material and conflicts of interest.
Corrections and updates
To report an error, provide the article URL, the relevant passage and a verifiable source where possible. Significant corrections should reach every affected language version; substantial changes in meaning should receive an explanatory note. Updates must not artificially replace original publication dates. When a central claim cannot be supported, the article should be corrected or withdrawn.
Accountability and dialogue
Deepzoe’s editorial administration is responsible for applying these standards and reviewing requests. We do not claim infallibility or replace readers’ discernment. Use the contact page for suggestions, corrections and authorship concerns. This policy may evolve; the version date identifies the published revision.
